Azerbaijan-Bahrain ties appraised

Newly appointed Azerbaijani ambassador has presented his credentials to King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, AzerTag news agency reported.
Rasim Rzayev was appointed as the Azerbaijani ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman and Yemen, with concurrent accreditation of permanent representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Congratulating the ambassador on his mission, the King said the relations between Azerbaijan and Bahrain have traditionally friendly character. He expressed confidence the ambassador would spare no efforts to develop these ties even more.
Rzayev, in turn, conveyed President Ilham Aliyev's greetings to the King, noting he would do his best to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
He also briefed on the economic accomplishments Azerbaijan gained over the past years, the ongoing economic reforms, the large-scale energy projects Azerbaijan realizes, regional and global projects the country initiated, as well as the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
The diplomat expressed gratitude to the King for support to Azerbaijani's fair cause he renders at the international organizations.
Rzayev also conveyed his best wishes of progress and flourishing to the King, and his nation.
Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Bahrain was established in1996.
