President Aliyev opens facilities in northern region

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visited Siyazan region as part of his tour of the country's northern regions on July 18.
The Head of State laid flowers at a monument to National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the city center.
Siyazan Region Executive Head Arif Qasımov informed the President of the landscaping in the area.
Ilham Aliyev officially commissioned drinking water and sewerage system of Siyazan city during the visit.
The chairman of the Reclamation and Water Economy Company, Ahmad Ahmadzadeh, informed the president about the Second National project on water and sewage services.
The project was funded by the Government of Azerbaijan and the World Bank.
President Aliyev reviewed the water supply network plan of Siyazan, the layout of water supply and sewage facilities, and plans of the sewage network and the water treatment plant. The second Baku water pipeline was selected as a water sourceIt to supply the population of the Siyazan region center with drinking water. The project also reflects the technical parameters of the new installations.
The President was informed that the construction and rehabilitation of the Siyazan water supply and sewage systems were carried out on the basis of a contract signed between the French company SADE and Azerbaijani RAMKO.
All houses in the city are connected to the water and sewage system. To extract water from the second Baku water pipeline and distribute it in the city, the construction of a water treatment reservoir with a capacity of 100 cubic meters and reservoirs of 1,000 and 3,000 cubic meters has been completed. The construction of a water treatment plant is underway
This project will provide the population of Siyazan city with drinking water around the clock.
President Aliyev launched the facility symbolizing the flow of water into the city, and gave instructions on successful completion of the work.
President Aliyev also attended the opening of a new office building of the Siyazan region branch of the ruling Yeni Azerbaijan Party. The president reviewed the building. The construction of the office building had begun in January and was completed in July 2013. The total floor area of the two-storey building is 753 square meters.
In the lobby of the building there is a bas-relief of great leader Heydar Aliyev. There are also photo stands reflecting the activities of the nationwide leader in public and political life of the country, including those related to the YAP. On display in the building are historical documents and artifacts. There are suitable conditions for conducting various activities in the building. All the offices are fitted with the necessary equipment, computers and a library.
The Siyazan region branch of the YAP was established on 10 February 1995.
President Ilham Aliyev opened the Heydar Aliyev Center in Siyazan. The area, where the center is located, is one of the favorite places of Siyazan city residents. There are suitable conditions for the recreation of local residents and visitors here. The extensive reconstruction, landscaping and planting work carried out have turned the place into one of the most beautiful parts of Siyazan.
The Centre primarily demonstrates the reverence of the people of Siyazan for the National Leader. The establishment of the Centre also plays an important part in promoting and studying the rich and diverse heritage of the great leader.
After reviewing the Center, President Aliyev met with representatives of the local public.
The president also opened a new office building of the Siyazan District Executive Authority. President Ilham Aliyev was informed that the conditions created at the new office building of the Executive Authority, built as part of the measures on socioeconomic development of the region, are further evidence that the development of the public administration system in the country is on focus.
The office building also has a room for videoconferencing with citizens and representatives of the district executive authority, as well as an operational control center. All this has been put in place in order to facilitate effective work of the executive authority and the comfort of local citizens. The 128-seat conference hall, equipped with modern sound, heating and lighting systems, can host events of regional and national importance.
The executive authority of the district also has introduced online video appointments. Citizens can contact village and settlement offices of the executive authority, establish a direct video link with the head of the executive authority and other senior officials and raise issues of concern without coming to the building. The system has been connected to the settlements of Mashrif, Zarat, Eynibulag, Sadan and Boyuk Hamya.
After expressing his satisfaction with the work done, President Ilham Aliyev gave relevant instructions and recommendations.
Ilham Aliyev also attended the opening of a Youth Center in Siyazan.
The Youth Center was built through the financial assistance of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan. Its construction started in April 2012 and was completed in July 2013. The estimated project cost is $714,910 manats.
The Center has a museum of statehood, which displays flags, banknotes, medals and historical documents of the states that existed on the territory of Azerbaijan at different times.
The Center has a hall of table games, slot machines, a coffee shop, an internet club and an internet cafe. All computers are connected to high speed internet. The Center will play an important part in the efficient organization of young people's leisure activities.
