Azerbaijani President inaugurates shipyard in Baku
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on Monday opened a newly constructed shipyard of the State Caspian Sea Shipping Company, Azertac state news agency reported.
The construction work was carried out in 2011-2012.
The Head of State toured the shipyard.
Chief of the Azerbaijan State Caspian Sea Shipping Company Aydin Bashirov informed the President about the state-of-the-art facility.
President Ilham Aliyev pushed the start button to make the facility officially operational.
The Azerbaijani leader was informed that the shipyard, which has six workshops, occupied a total area of 2.2 hectares.
