Read moreImprotex Group of Companies has handed over four mechanical demining machines "Revival P", manufactured under the brand "Made in Azerbaijan" and meeting international standards, to the Agency for Demining of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA), the press service of ANAMA reported, Azernews reports.
It was reported that the agency is increasing material and technical capabilities in order to expand the scale of demining operations in the liberated territories.
The Revival P mechanical means used for humanitarian demining are controlled at a distance of up to 2,000 metres. The remote control feature allows the operator to stay out of range of devices that can cause devastating explosive shock and damage when mines and ammunition are detonated.
The special armour metal used in the production of the machines protects the engine and other hydraulic and electronic components of the Revival P during demining operations. The machines, with a 300-millimeter clearance depth, are easy to operate in areas with high slope angles and hard ground cover.
According to the contract signed with the Improtex Group of Companies, it is planned to purchase 6 units of Revival P and 2 units of Revival T demining vehicles by the end of this year, for a total of eight units.
Locally produced mechanical vehicles will make a great contribution to demining and unexploded ordnance in the liberated territories, as well as to the safe resettlement of former IDPs in their native lands under the Great Return programme.
