Azeri leader meets Putin in Istanbul

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Russian Prime
Minister Vladimir Putin held a closed-door meeting on the sidelines
of a summit of an Asian security group in Istanbul on Tuesday.
The parties held discussions on economic cooperation and the current situation in the region, Russia’s state news agency ITAR-TASS reported.
Putin said the Russian and Azerbaijani leaders are trying to avail of each bilateral meeting to expand relations and achieve normalization in the volatile region.
President Aliyev noted that the two countries were cooperating effectively in all areas and that progress was being seen in all fields.
