Head of the Azerbaijani community of the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, MP of the Parliament Tural Ganjaliyev appealed to Azerbaijani citizens of Armenian origin, Trend reports citing the appeal.
“I know that you follow my appeals to you very carefully. This makes me happy. My last appeal was watched by a large number of our citizens of Armenian origin. I have received many inspiring messages and appeals from you in this regard. I am very glad that there are many supporters of peace and coexistence among our Armenian residents. Thank you for your kind attention to me!" the appeal said.
"It is clear from your appeals to me that, you expect peace to be established soon. Like you, all citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan are waiting for the restoration of our territorial integrity, and peaceful coexistence of both Armenians and Azerbaijanis," the appeal said.
"I remember the good old days very well. We have not forgotten the laughter of Armenians and Azerbaijanis in the streets of Shusha and Khankendi. We have not forgotten the old men playing backgammon under the trees, or in the teahouse. We have not forgotten the people walking in the parks, cafes, and restaurants, enjoying the fresh mountain air. We have not forgotten the joint participation of both Armenian and Azerbaijani athletes in sports competitions. We have not forgotten the days when we shared each other's joys and sorrows," the appeal said.
