President signs decree to set up several legal entities of public law

President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree aimed at improving public administration in Azerbaijan.
Under the presidential Decree, several bodies and agencies having the legal status of a central executive authority, executive authority and public agency were made legal entities of public law.
The following legal entities of public law were established by the presidential Decree: “State Housing Construction Agency under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, “Copyright Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, “State Agency for Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, “Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC)”, “Icharishahar State Historical and Architectural Reserve”, “Seaside Boulevard Department”, “Baku Transport Agency”, “State Agency for Compulsory Health Insurance”, and “Translation Center”.
State Courier Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan under the Cabinet of Ministers was subordinated to the Special State Protection Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan and its powers were entrusted to the Special State Protection Service
Under the Decree, the Cabinet of Ministers shall draw up and submit – within two months – draft statutes of the newly established legal entities of public law to the President.
