Azerbaijani B-Boys to join Red Bull BC One

Baku’s State Song Theatre named after Rashid Behbutov will host a dance event, as the country will choose its representative for the Red Bull BC One, one of the most prestigious international championships in break dance.

The elimination stage scheduled for April 12 will see 16 country’s talented energetic B-Boys battle it out on the dance floor to win the best dancer title.

Such dancers as STIMO, BOOCAS, KHAN, BUTTON, INFUSION, 2RAB, SLIM SKILLZ, CRAZY BONES, CHEERUS, FLEX FOOT, SUNNY-T, QUATTRO-J, RENNO, LIL-J, KILLA JAZZ и FANCY SNAKE will compete in one-to-one battles to demonstrate their unique style and technique in break dance.

The winner will represent the country in the Red Bull BC One’s Eastern-European selection, which will also be held in Baku on September 5. The finalist will get a chance to compete in the world final to take place in Roma in November.

The jury’s member includes colorful figures such as current world champion of the Red Bull BC One, member RB BC One All Stars from Netherlands, Taisuke, a member of Red Bull BC One All Stars from Japan and Cheerito, one of the most famous Russian B-Boy.

The leading event will be the MC Scream from Ukraine, while one of the country best DJ, three-time national Red Bull Thre3Style champion DJ Twist will air unforgettable music for the guests.

Red Bull BC One is an annual international B-Boy competition organized by the energy drink company Red Bull. It is an individual B-Boy competition, notable for being the only one of the major international breaking championships to not include a crew event. The main event is a knockout tournament featuring sixteen B-Boys, chosen for their exceptional dance skills and good character, competing in one-on-one battles decided by a panel of five judges.

Azerbaijan joined the championship since 2011.
