Baku Museum Center hosts event for Women's Day

Baku Museum Center hosted a concert and the opening ceremony of an exhibition called "Light of the Beauty."

Dedicated to the International Women's Day, the event is organized by the Culture and Tourism Ministry, the Museum Center, National Music Committee, and "Kukla" art gallery.

Addressing the event, Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfaz Garayev congratulated over upcoming holiday, adding that famous musicians prepared an interesting musical program for women.

Chairman of the State Committee for Family, Women, and Children Affairs Hijran Huseynova said Azerbaijani women contribute to the development of the country with their talent, professionalism, and activities in various areas.

Folk artists Murad Huseynov (piano) and Samira Jafarova (vocals), as well as musicians Tofig Shikhiev (piano), Osman Eyyubov (violin), and Islam Gasimov (vocals) performed at the concert, which was held at the opening ceremony of the exhibition. Meanwhile, the Round Hall of the Museum Center hosted an exposition created by young photographers Orkhan Aslanov, Khadija Movsumzade, Maria Shutikova, and Ruslan Mammadov.

The Art Gallery of the Museum Center presents the best works of both recognized and young masters. Many of the works were created especially for this exhibition, and this year's event included works by foreign authors.

Works by "Kukla" art gallery's puppeteers were presented at the exhibition for the first time. The concept of the exhibition was constructed in a way that the topic of the puppet compositions resonated with the paintings, graphic art, batik, floral panels, and photo compositions.

The exhibition will last until March 9.
