Iran chairs UNIDO budget committee
Iran has been appointed as the head of the Program and Budget
Committee of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization
(UNIDO), IRNA news agency reported.
Ali-Asghar Soltanieh, the representative of Iran to international
organizations based in Vienna, will be in the position for a
one-year period.
UNIDO is a specialized agency in the United Nations system,
headquartered in Vienna.
The Organization's primary objective is the promotion and
acceleration of industrial development in developing countries and
countries with economies in transition and the promotion of
international industrial cooperation.
