The 6-th e-Sport World Championship Baku 2014 will be the greatest IeSF event yet, and for the first time in e-Sports history, will be supported directly by a governmental organization, as IeSF is working with the Azerbaijan Sport and Youth Ministry.

A Memorandum of Understanding concerning 6th World Championship in e-sports in Baku was signed on May 1.

The signing ceremony was attended by Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov, Secretary General of IeSF Won Suk Oh and President of Azerbaijan Cybersport Federation Ramil Aliyev.

The championship will take place in one of the country's central halls Baku Crystal Hall.

According to the official rules, the host country has the right to offer additional 3-4 disciplines.

Currently, inclusion of such additional disciplines as Street Fighter Series, Hearth Stone, Pro Evolution Soccer, and others is under consideration.

Electronic sport is a well-developing activity in Azerbaijan. Cyber Sport Federation of the country was established in June 2011.
