Nineteen cities across the globe including Baku will compete for hosting matches of UEFA EURO 2020, UEFA website said.

The final decision on the appointment of the 13 hosts of EURO 2020 will be taken by the UEFA Executive Committee in Geneva on September 19.

The cities that have submitted bid dossiers for the standard package are Baku, Minsk, Brussels, Sofia, Copenhagen, London, Skopje, Munich, Budapest, Jerusalem, Rome, Amsterdam, Dublin, Bucharest, Saint Petersburg, Glasgow, Bilbao, Stockholm, and Cardiff.

"The cities that have already submitted bid dossiers for the semi-finals/final package are London and Munich," UEFA said.

The UEFA administration will examine the bid dossiers and prepare written evaluation reports for submission to the UEFA Executive Committee.

Initially, 32 member associations expressed their interest in hosting the tournament by the first deadline of September 12, 2013.

In January 2013, the UEFA Executive Committee decided that the matches of the final stage of EURO 2020 will be held in 13 cities.

The 2020 UEFA European Football Championship will be the 16th European Championship for national football teams organized by UEFA, held during the middle of 2020.

The winners will earn the right to participate in the 2021 FIFA Confederations Cup hosted by Qatar.
