Russia wins the “Azerbaijani Flag” festival

Latvia hosted the international intellectual festival "Azerbaijani Flag" in capital Riga, Azerbaijan Federation of Intellectual Games (AIOF) said.

The festival was dedicated to the State Flag Day of Azerbaijan, Seymur Teymurov told Trend news agency.

The festival that took place under the auspices of AİOF and with the financial support of the Youth Fund under the President of Azerbaijan Republic was co-organized by the "Ateshgah" intellectual games club and Riga club of connoisseurs "Intellect".

About 30 teams from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Georgia, Russia, Belarus and Ukraine attended the tournaments on the "What? Where? When?" game and the national intellectual "Khamsa" game.

A concurring international tournament titled "Friendship Cup" was also held during the festival.

The winner of the "What? Where? When?" game was the Russian team called "It's all about pepper." They won a ticket to the "Caspian Cap 2014", which will be held in Baku.

"Friendship Cup" was taken by the team called "X-promt".

The main goal of the festival was familiarizing foreign connoisseurs with the cultural and historical heritage of the Azerbaijani people during the intellectual games.

The authors of the thematic package on "What? Where? What?" questions were Azerbaijani connoisseurs Roman Orkodasvili and Rufat Abdulla.

The "Azerbaijani Flag" international intellectual festival was held for the first time. The festival is planned to be held every year in future.
