Culture Ministry department chief detained

Ilkin Nasibov, the director of the Culture Ministry's logistics department, was sentenced to four months in prison as a preventative measure, Azernews reports.
Ilkin Nasibov was appointed to the post in August 2020 by the then-acting Culture Minister Anar Karimov.
Nasibov was born in 1987 in Goranboy District. In 2008, he graduated from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics, majoring in Engineering Economics and Management. From 2012 to 2020, he worked in responsible positions at Ata Bank and Kapital Bank.
On November 1, the State Security Service (SSS) carried out an operation in the Ministry of Culture. Following the operation of the SSS, Elnur Aliyev, who held the post of First Deputy Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan, was fired, and the head of the ministry's logistics department, Ilkin Nasibov, was detained.
