Heydar Aliyev Palace will host an event timed to the 80th anniversary of acclaimed composer, People's Artist of Azerbaijan Elsa Ibrahimova on February 21.

Famous singers, including Flora Kerimova, Yalchin Rzazade, Brilliant Dadasheva, Gyulaz Mammadova, Ramil Gasimov, Tunzala Agayeva, Ilgar Muradov, Lala Mammadova, Agshin Abdullayev, Isfar Sarabski, Rashad Ilyasov, Ayaz Gasimov, Nadir Gafarzadeh, Zamig Huseynov, Fuad Musayev, Zabit Aliev, Vusala Askerova, Aynur Iskenderli, Chinara Melikzade, Sarhan Bunyadzade, Kyanan Gadimov, Aytan Maharramova, Nijat Jafarzadeh and others will perform at the concert, Trend Life reported.

The evening will feature composer's songs "Bilməzdim", "Gecələr bulaq başı", "Sən yadıma düşəndə", "Bakının işıqları", "Sevgilim tut əlimdən", "Mehribanım", "O gözlər, o gözlər", "Gəl barışaq", "Qurban Verdrdim", "Daha məndə dözüm yox "," Yoxluğunu bilə-bilə "," Ey vətən ", etc. The event starts at 19:00.

Ticket price is 10-80 manat. Tickets can be purchased at all ticket offices in Baku , ASAN Service Centers and website www.iticket.az.

Elsa Ibrahimova was born on January 10, 1938 in Hajigabul. She is a graduate of the musical school named after Asaf Zeynalli and the composer faculty of the Azerbaijan State Conservatory (now the Baku Musical Academy).

Her pop songs were performed by renowned singers: Shovket Alakbarov, Flora Kerimov, Ilham Guliyev, Akif Islamzade, Islam Rzayev, Elmira Rahimova and many others. They were highly praised by composers Tikhon Khrennikov, Georgy Sviridov, Otar Taktakishvili, Jovdet Hajiyev, Arif Malikov, Murad Kazhlaev, Gara Garaev.

The composer wrote over a hundred songs on the words of Azerbaijani poets, some of them are in Lezghian. At the same time, she composed music for verses of Russian poets. The composer wrote a series of classical works, a symphonic poem, an oratorio, vocal-instrumental and chamber compositions, music for various performances. Among the well-known musical works are operas "Afet" (author of the libretto - Huseyn Javid) and "Burning Cradles" (author of the libretto - Ramiz Heydar), which reflects the pain of the Karabakh tragedy. Elsa Ibrahimova is an author of music for Azerbaijani oil workers anthem, dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the national oil industry.

Unfortunately, Elsa Ibrahimova died on February 11, 2012.
