"ART WEEK-END" brings splash of creativity to town [PHOTO]

Icherisheher, the oldest part of Baku, continues to host a fascinating "ART WEEK-END".
The weekly art fair provides a showcase for artists to express themselves though individual creativity. This time, the works by young artist Fidan Kim, who introduced her portrait work and graphic paintings, aroused a great interest among the visitors.
The event with format varying from workshop sessions to exhibitions is organized by the Administration of State Historical-Architectural Reserve Icherisheher and Art Council Azerbaijan.
The event also offers visitors opportunity to buy the displayed works. Moreover, they can also participate in different entertainment programs and workshops.
The Historical-Architectural monument "Dord Bujagli Gala" serves as a unique platform for young artists, ceramists and craftsmen.
The Old City is a unique town within the city of Baku with its own infrastructure and residential communities. The fortress is located in the center of Baku along the coast of the Caspian Sea.
The unique historic monuments and a wide range of tourism options make Icherisheher one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city.
The pearl of the Azerbaijani culture, possesses hundreds of historical monuments, four of which are of global importance. It became the first location in Azerbaijan to be classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
In 2000, the Old City of Baku, including the Palace of the Shirvanshahs and Maiden Tower, became the first location in Azerbaijan to be classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
