Azerbaijani-Russian business forum scheduled for next week

Baku will host an Azerbaijani-Russian business forum on July
15,
Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO)
reported.
The event will be held with the support of the Azerbaijani Economy and Industry Ministry and organizational support of AZPROMO during the visit of the Russia`s Tomsk region delegation to the country.
Azerbaijani entrepreneurs are invited to participate in this
event.
Russia is the main trade partner of Azerbaijan in the CIS. Over the
past ten years, the volume of Azerbaijan's investment in Russia's
economy amounted to around $1 billion, $200 million of which fell
on 2013.
According to Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee, the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $755.45 million in January-May 2014. At the same time, Azerbaijan's imports from Russia amounted to $512.83 million.
About 570 Russian companies are operating in the country, and over $628 million was invested in fixed capital.
