Unveiled some secrets of creation a new hotels
Within the framework of Master Class Session is initiated by DAIR Hotels and Restaurants Association, "How to Launch a New Hotel: From Marketing till Grand Opening" Master Class was held on 11 October, 2013. Mr. Bulent Suzer, General Manager of Divan Express Baku Hotel took the initiative of the Association has made a speech with an interesting and useful topics.
The eventwas attended bymanagersof AEF, Amber, Ambiance, Caspian Guest House, Deluxe, Miraj İnn, Modern, New Baku, Royal, Rigs, Safran, Aysberq and other Baku hotels managers.
Mr.Suzer informed participants about activity and geography of Turkish Koc Group's Divan Hotels chain. He disclosed details and methods in the creation of new hotel. Special attention waspaid to themarketing, pricing,sales and customer satisfaction subjects. The topicsdiscussed wereissues suchas acustomer baseof hotels, compliance rates fortourists, the positive and negative aspectsof the legalandtax regulations in hospitality, monopolies and competitionin the hotel market, the Global Distribution Systems and etc.
As part of the exchange knowledge and professional views, Samir Babazadeh, Chairman of the Board of Association, has criticized the quality of services offered by some of city hotels and also noted the existence of problems in the management processes in the hospitality market of the country.He noted that the customer base of small and medium-sized hotels and brand hotels are different in nature and there is no competition between these segments. It was emphasized that the application of preferential tax system could play an indispensable role in the development process and the dynamics of small-medium enterprises in this industry.
