All sport societies work for holding Baku Games at highest level: minister

All sports societies and people working in the field of sports are directing their efforts and thoughts towards the inaugural European Games to be held in Baku in 2015.
Azerbaijani Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov made the remark on March 5, noting that the work runs smoothly.
"Azerbaijan will be fully ready to host the European Games," Rahimov said. "We expect the biggest and most grandiose event, namely the first European Games in 2015."
The minister voiced confidence that Baku will host the most beautiful and ambitious games.
Baku Games will involve around 6,000 competitors from the 49 Olympic nations of Europe across 19 sports, including new formats and disciplines featured for the first time at a major European sports event.
The list of sports includes Aquatics, Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball 3x3, Beach soccer, Boxing, Canoe Sprint, Cycling, Fencing, Gymnastics, Judo, Karate, Shooting, Table tennis, Taekwondo, Triathlon, Volleyball, and Wrestling.
The games will start on June 12, 2015.
