The 36th "Virtuosos" International Festival opened at the Lviv Philharmonic, Ukraine.

The festival opened with "Azerbaijani Capriccio" by Fikret Amirov performed by the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the State Philharmonic Society conducted by Yalcin Adigezalov, Day.Az reported.

Rector of the Baku Music Academy, Farhad Badalbeyli was the soloist in the piano Concerto of John Gershwin. He was enthusiastically welcomed by the audience and played an encore of the famous composition "the Sea". The concert ended with brilliant performance of the Second Suite from the ballet "Path of Thunder" by Gara Garayev.

After the concert, Festival's Director Vladimir Sivokhip presented to musicians diplomas of honorary members of the Lviv Philharmonic society "For merits in development of culture of Ukraine and Azerbaijan".

The gala evening, organized with the assistance of the United Diaspora of Ukrainian Azerbaijanis , was attended by Azerbaijani Ambassador to Ukraine Azer Khudiyev, chairman of the united diaspora Hikmet Javadov, heads of the city administration and others.
