Azerbaijani triathlete ranked 16th in ITU world rankings

Azerbaijani athlete Rostyslav Pevtsov has improved his position in the world rankings of the International Triathlon Union (ITU).
The athlete, scoring 3196.01 points, is now ranked the 16th, azerisport.com reported.
Spanish Mario Mola tops the ITU ranking.
Rostyslav Pevtsov competed in the men's event at the 2016 Summer Olympics, but failed to win a medal of the Rio Games.
Triathlon is a multiple-stage competition involving the completion of three continuous and sequential endurance disciplines, with the most popular form involving swimming, cycling, and running in immediate succession over various distances.
The Azerbaijan Triathlon Federation was established in 2013.
