Cargo airport may appear in Georgia
Georgian Economy Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili said last week that a cargo airport may be built in Vaziani, a few kilometers from Tbilisi.
He said that there has only been a preliminary assessment of the project. Experts say that Vaziani is good place for such an airport, but it is a distant prospect, Kvirikashvili added.
As for Tbilisi International Airport, he said that it is growing rapidly. New investments are always being made. A logistics center is being equipped. The government will not give up on this airport.
According to Kvirikashvili, the Tbilisi International Airport will continue operating.
