Over 124,000 people gets Turkish citizenship over ten years
More than 124,000 people have been granted Turkish citizenship over last ten years, the Press Turk newspaper quoted Turkish Interior Minister Muammer Guler as saying on Monday.
Bulgarian citizens - over 44,000 people rank first in the list of those who became Turkish citizens. The following are Azerbaijani citizens - more than 15,000 people.
Also there are 7,000 Russian citizens, 6,000 Afghans and 3,000 Syrian citizens among those who have been granted Turkish citizenship.
In addition, over ten years, more than 354,000 people have refused or have been deprived of Turkish citizenship (8,000 people).
