Google Russia starts selling books, films

Russian Google Play store customers can now buy movies and books in Russia, the Internet giant said on its website Tuesday, RIA Novosti reported.

Book prices on Google Play start from 50 rubles (about $1.6), and some books (mainly Russian classics) are free.

Movies cost from 99 rubles to buy or less to rent - with users opting to rent given a 48 hour "window" to watch the film.

Films can be either watched online or downloaded on Android.

Users can also leave comments on books and films.
