Dmitry Medvedev arrives in Azerbaijan
Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev arrived in Azerbaijan on April 8.
A ceremonial guard of honor was arranged for the Russian Prime Minister at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, which was decorated with the national flags of the two countries.
Dmitry Medvedev was met by Azerbaijan`s Prime Minister Artur Rasizade and other officials.
The state anthems of Russia and Azerbaijan were played. Artur Rasizade and Dmitry Medvedev then had a brief protocol talk.
During the Baku visit, Medvedev seeks to discuss the aggravation of the situation in Azerbaijan’s occupied territories.
Also, a wide range of issues, including cooperation in the areas of economy, trade, energy and other areas are expected to be mulled during the talks with the leadership of Azerbaijan.
Medvedev was on a visit to Yerevan on April 7 to discuss Nagorno-Karabakh issue with the Armenian leadership.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Dmitry Rogozin is also expected to visit Baku on April 8.
