Azerbaijan- Indonesia ties in focus
Indonesia attaches great importance to relations with Azerbaijan, Vice President of Indonesia Muhammad Jusuf Kalla said, adding there was good potential for further boosting bilateral cooperation.
Jusuf Kalla made the remark at the meeting with Azerbaijani
ambassador to Indonesia Tamerlan Garayev,AzerTag state news agency
reported.
The vice president recalled his visit to Azerbaijan, noting he
was ready to assist the activity of the embassy in Indonesia.
He said the energy security plays important role in the work of new
Indonesian Government, adding they attach great importance to
establishing relations with oil and gas producing countries.
Garayev, in turn, praised developing relations between Azerbaijan
and Indonesia in the political and economical fields, expressed
confidence that these ties would be developed even further.
The ambassador provided an insight into the cause and consequences
of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as well as
the Khojaly massacre, committed by Armenians.
Jusuf Kalla said he was aware of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and
Khojaly massacre.
He said Jakarta supports peaceful settlement of the conflict within the principles of international law and inviolability of borders.
