Azerbaijan carries out humanitarian campaign in Cameroon and Burkina-Faso

Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA) has carried out a humanitarian campaign in Cameroon and Burkina-Faso as part of its partnership with the Islamic Development Bank, AzerTag state news agency reported.

The campaign 'Fighting against Avoidable Blindness' saw two Azerbaijani doctors team with their Tunisian counterparts to operate 281 people in Cameroon and 455 people in Burkina-Faso on a free of charge basis.

The campaign was in spotlight in Cameroon and Burkina-Faso.

AIDA, established under Foreign Ministry in September 2011, is a responsible organ for provision of international humanitarian and development assistance by Azerbaijan and coordinates activities of relevant state agencies in this field.

AIDA's annual budget is formed by relevant allocations from the state budget. Its activities are structured in line and concurrent with the foreign policy of Azerbaijan.
