Azerbaijani speaker to attend CIS PA meeting
A delegation headed by the chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament Oqtay Asadov will take part at the 38th plenary session of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS PA) in St. Petersburg on Nov. 21-23.
Members of the delegation will participate at the CIS PA standing committees on political affairs and international cooperation, agrarian policy, natural resources and environment, science and education.
MPs will attend a meeting of the working group for the preparation of an inter-state agreement on the formation of a common information system of the CIS member states and express their opinions on the issue.
The Azerbaijani MPs will also take part in the international conference on 'Chingiz Aitmatov's world: dialogue and integration of cultures'.
During the visit, the speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament will hold meetings with delegation heads. They will exchange views on inter-parliamentary ties.
