Former Turkish Foreign Minister Hikmet Cetin has hailed the importance of the Global Young Leaders Forum, which is underway in Baku.

Cetin, in an interview with Azertac, said that the Global Young Leaders Forum creates a real opportunity to discuss important problems, bringing together youth from Africa, Asia, America and Europe.

"What is needed to build a better world? The future of the world is associated with youth.” “I believe in skills of young people. From this point of view the forum will contribute to tackling the problems faced by us. This event is very important both to Azerbaijan, the region and the world," he added.

Cetin further stressed that the Global Young Leaders Forum is one of the major events organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center.

"We need to look into the future, to find solutions to problems from various perspectives. Today the world faces many problems. There are such problems, which lack resolution, such as wars as well as ethnic and sectarian clashes. There are certain problems, which can be solved only by young people. This is why we need to create opportunities for them and encourage their better involvement in this process as future leaders," he said.

The Global Young Leaders Forum organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center kicked off in Baku on August 21.

The Global Young Leaders Forum is a new platform connecting young leaders with former and current heads of states and exploring many criteria of leadership, Azertac reported.
