World Environment Day to be solemnly marked

One of the most rewarding gifts the human being can enjoy is to see nature in all its beauty.

In our beautiful planet, there are thousands majestic places, where extraordinaire views remind us that beauty is a universal treasure.

We must take care of natural environment for our own well-being and for that of the future generations.

World Environment Day is celebrated by the people all across the world on June 5.

First held in 1974, Environment Day aims to raise awareness of environmental issues from global warming to wildlife crime.

The United Nations Development Programme in Azerbaijan and the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry will host a drawing competition among children aged between 7-10 years to mark the Day.

Entitled "Let us reduce the negative impact of waste on the environment and human health"!, competition will be held on June 5.

A3 size paintings are accepted at the following address :

Submit your works on May 25 until 18:00.

Don't forget to write your name and surname, age, phone number and the school behind each painting. Otherwise, your works won't be accepted.
