Tunisian singer performs in International Mugham Festival in Baku
Tunisian composer, singer, ud player and public figure Lotfi Bouchnak has given a concert as part of the "World of Mugham" 3rd International Mugham Festival in Baku.
At the concert, called "Greetings from the Middle East", the singer was accompanied by Jgonda Munir (violin), Taufik Jgonda (ganun, setar), Abdelhakim Belgaid (ud) and Mabruk Hammadi (percussion, tar).
Bouchnak has been one of few artists to have regular shows in the Cairo Opera House since 1992. He won the Best Arab Singer Award in Washington DC, in 1997.
The second part of the concert featured Azerbaijani khanandas Zabit Nabizada and Miralam Miralamov who performed Rast mugham.
