The ASAN service centers, that already gain a reputation of comfortable and transparent agency fighting bureaucracy and corruption, will soon offer its customers a number of custom services.

The State Custom Committee reported that its chairman Aydin Aliyev has recently met with Inam Kerimov, the Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan.

The meeting discussed the issue of increasing the list of customs services provided at the service centers of ASAN.

Thus, ASAN service may soon provide its customers with electronic declaration, preliminary electronic declaration, issue of official certificates for import-export operations, and extension of stay in the country of temporarily imported cars.

Along with this, information kiosks of the State Customs Committee will be installed in ASAN centers in the future.

Discussion on this issue is continuing, said Anar Huseynov, an official at the State Agency.

“I cannot name the exact time. The public will be provided with relevant information on this issue,” he added.

The new custom services in ASAN will be useful for the country’s citizens and foreigners as well as entrepreneurs.

ASAN service center, that now offers its customers services of eight state agencies, was opened in January 2013.

In three years, the number of ASAN service centers has reached nine including five ASAN cervices for residents of Baku, as well as service centers in the second largest city of the country Ganja and industrial city Sumgayit, as well as Sabirabad and Barda.

Along with its primary aim to increase transparency and strengthen the fight against corruption, the service aims to reduce extra expenses and time loss of citizens, upgrade the level of professionalism and strengthen a confidence towards the state structures.

Moreover, the service promotes larger use of electronic services among the population.
