Azerbaijan, Sri Lanka may co-op in energy field - minister
Azerbaijan and Sri Lanka may cooperate in energy, Sri Lankan External Affairs Minister Gamini Lakshman Peiris has said at a meeting with Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov, who is on a visit to Sri Lanka.
Hailing high level political relations between the two countries, Gamini Lakshman Peiris stressed the importance that this relationship also covers fields such as economy, trade, mutual investments and tourism.
Mammadyarov said Azerbaijan is ready to develop cooperation with Sri Lanka in the above-mentioned fields, as well as agriculture and sea transport,
They also discussed the ways to strengthen legal framework.
The meeting ended with the signing of protocol on cooperation
between Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry and Ministry of External
Affairs of Sri Lanka.
