By achieving successful results, Azerbaijani export missions sent to the foreign countries contribute to the development of country's economy.

With the support of the Ministry of Economy, Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) organized export mission to Poland's capital, Warsaw, on March 6-10.

The export mission included 22 Azerbaijani companies engaged in wine and other alcoholic beverages, food products and cosmetics.

Within the framework of the mission, meetings were held with Polish companies and preliminary agreement on the export of products was reached. Thus, Azerstar LLC, Bakukonserv CJSC, Mars-Fk LLC, AHEC LLC, Astarachay LLC have reached preliminary agreements on the export of their products to Poland.

In addition, the products presented by Azersun Holding and Brightman BMC were met with interest from Polish companies

Within the framework of the export mission, the Azerbaijani companies also presented their products at the stand organized by the Trading House of Azerbaijan at the international food fair "Worldfood Poland" in Warsaw. "Meyseri Mekhmeri Premium" wine produced by "Shirvan Wines" was awarded at the competition held during the exhibition.

Trading House of Azerbaijan opened in Warsaw last year to promote export of Azerbaijani products, organize sales of local products in Poland, and coordinate these activities with entrepreneurs.

The introduction of local products of Azerbaijan to international markets is boosting the non-oil sector of the economy and strengthens business ties with foreign countries.

Therefore, Azerbaijan is organizing a number of export missions to promote national products under the Made in Azerbaijan brand.

Launched in 2016, the Made in Azerbaijan brand envisages a large-scale promotion of local non-oil products in foreign markets.

Export missions are a supporting measure to identify opportunities for accessing new markets, strengthen local product positions in existing markets and provide these markets with new products.

Azerbaijan will organize 24 more export missions this year. Local entrepreneurs will participate in major trade fair in Russia, UAE and Germany in February. The new market at which Azerbaijan aims is South Korea, Azerbaijan will be participating in the food fair there in May 2019.

Promotion of export-oriented local products under the Made in Azerbaijan brand in a wider geographic area also helps to attract foreign investment. The export of non-oil products will stimulate the expansion of the production of these products and will further strengthen the non-oil sector's share in the structure of the GDP.
