Azerbaijan has temporarily restricted poultry and animal meat imports from some regions of Russia, Trend reports with reference to Azerbaijan’s Food Safety Agency.
Earlier, the World Organization for Animal Health has identified cases of Newcastle disease in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, as well as foot-and-mouth disease in Russia’s Khabarovsk Krai regions.
In this regard, it was decided to temporarily restrict the import of poultry and poultry meat products from the Krasnodar Krai, as well as livestock and meat products from the Khabarovsk Krai.
At the same time, Azerbaijan’s Food Safety Agency appealed to the State Customs Committee of the country to disinfect vehicles passing through customs checkpoints that arrived directly or in transit through these regions of Russia.
