Georgian PM to join opening ceremony of European Games
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has today arrived in Azerbaijan to participate in the opening ceremony of the first European Games.
At the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, the Georgian Premier was welcomed by representatives of Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry and Baku 2015 European Games Operation Committee.
On the same day, President Ilham Aliyev received PM Garibashvili.
The sides noted that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia were developing successfully in the political, economic, energy, transport and other fields.
They stressed the importance of holding the first European Games in Baku, adding this event would contribute to the strengthening of international cooperation.
The parties also discussed issues related to prospects of bilateral ties between the two countries.
