The Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation organizes even domestic competitions at the level of international ones, President of the European Union of Gymnastics (UEG) Trampoline Technical Committee Vladimir Zeman said on November 8.
He was very surprised by such a high level of organization of the 14th Azerbaijan and Baku Championship in Trampoline Gymnastics and Tumbling.
Zeman noted that he was present at the Baku 2015 European Games, adding the organizers of the Azerbaijan and Baku Championship in Trampoline Gymnastics and Tumbling seek to create the same atmosphere for spectators and athletes.
He added that he watched the performances of the athletes and was very happy that even the youngest gymnasts take part in the competitions alongside the best trampoline athletes of Azerbaijan.
Tumbling as a kind of sport is developing around the whole world, and in Azerbaijan it is undergoing a very intensive development, he noted.
Zeman said he liked the performances of Azerbaijani athletes at big competitions. He added that he is very glad to have an opportunity to evaluate the growing level of Azerbaijani trampoline competitions.
He stressed that there are some world-class trampoline gymnasts in Azerbaijan.
Zeman also said he is very happy that he sees so many young athletes in the gymnastics hall.
In her turn, Yvette Brasier, president of the UEG technical committee for women’s artistic gymnastics, told Trend that the domestic championship was organized perfectly.
She said the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation organizes all the events very well.
Maria Cristina Casentini, president of the UEG technical committee for aerobics, said the competitions were perfectly coordinated and organized.
Casentini said she would like to thank the leadership of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation.
She added that it is very important to organize such competitions.
The second day of the 23rd Baku Championship in Acrobatic Gymnastics, as well as the 14th Azerbaijan and Baku Championship in Trampoline Gymnastics and Tumbling kicked off in Baku Nov. 8.
