Azerbaijani Para-Taekwondo fighters to vie for European medals

The European Para-Taekwondo Championships will be held in Warsaw, Poland.
For the first time, the Championships will feature a Poomsae programme with P20 (intellectually impaired) and P30 (motor impaired) athletes competing, Azertac reported.
European participants in Kyorugi (K40) will have the opportunity to earn G4 world ranking points, while non-European participants will be awarded G2 world ranking points.
Azerbaijan pins hope on 11 fighters.
Over the last four years, Azerbaijani Paralympians have won about 161 medals.
In the Summer Paralympics, which will last until September 18, Azerbaijan is represented by 24 athletes in judo, athletics, powerlifting, swimming, shooting and archery.
The first gold medal at Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro came from judo fighter Gasimov Gasimov
The fighter defeated Ukraine's Solovey Dmytro in the men's -73 kg finals.
