Kazakh tenge strengthens against US dollar
Kazakhstan's national currency tenge has strengthened against the US dollar by 4.7 percent.
The official exchange rate of tenge was 343.62 KZT/$1 on April 1 against 327.66 KZT per $1 on May 1, according to the National Bank of Kazakhstan.
The minimum rate of tenge was observed January 22 - 383.91 KZT per $1 since the beginning of 2016, according to the bank.
The exchange rate of tenge began to decline after the country's National Bank switched to a floating rate in August 2015.
