Kazakh tenge strengthens against USD
Kazakhstan’s national currency tenge has strengthened against the US dollar.
The official exchange rate of tenge was 340.42 KZT/$1 on March 28 against 344.41 KZT/$1 on March 25, according to Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE).
The maximum rate of tenge was observed Jan. 1-5 – 340.01 KZT/$1 since the beginning of 2016, the minimum rate – Jan. 22 – 383.91 KZT/$1, according to Kazakhstan’s National Bank.
The exchange rate of tenge began to decline after the country’s National Bank switched to a floating rate in August 2015.
