EU-Turkey summit to re-energize bilateral bonds
The European Union-Turkey summit to be held Nov.29 is about re-energizing their relationship, the EU office in Brussels told Trend Nov.25.
Turkey is a strategic partner of the European Union, said the EU office.
The upcoming EU-Turkey summit will be dedicated to cooperation in resolving the migration crisis.
The migration crisis is a result of the conflict in Syria that has been going on since 2011.
The internal conflict is responsible for the highest refugee population in the world, with over 4 million refugees having fled Syria to neighboring Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Iraq, and Egypt, according to the UN data. In recent months, tens of thousands of Syrians fled to Europe.
