Turkey ups gas imports in 2012

Turkish state pipeline company Botas imported 43.09 billion cubic meters of gas from various sources in 2012 compared to 39.7 billion cubic meters in 2011, Botas said on Wednesday, Trend news agency reported.
Turkey also imports gas from Azerbaijan which is supplied via the South Caucasus Pipeline, a section of the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum (BTE) pipeline crossing Azerbaijan and Georgia.
Some 622 million cubic meters of gas fell to Botas's export operations in 2012 compared to 726 million cubic meters in 2011.
Over 41.4 billion cubic meters of gas were sold on the Turkish domestic market in 2012, compared to about 39.4 billion cubic meters of gas in 2011.
