Belarus interested in Kazakh oil supplies
The Belarusian government is interested in supplying oil from
Kazakhstan for its processing at Belarusian refineries,
Novosti-Kazakhstan news agency quoted Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail
Rusi as saying at a session of the Kazakh-Belarusian
intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation in
Astana on Thursday.
"We are ready to work together to correct the current imbalance in
our joint trade. We can increase import from
Kazakhstan on account of raw carbon and oil
products supplies to process them at our refineries," Rusi
said.
Rusi added that forthcoming signing of the intergovernmental
agreement on trade and economic cooperation will facilitate these
supplies.
Belarus is also interested in cooperation with Kazakhstan in the
field of agriculture, Rusi said.
"As one of the priority spheres for cooperation, we also consider
agriculture. We offer to create a joint project on agriculture
infrastructure, rural areas, design and construction of
agricultural towns and dairy farms," deputy head of the Belarusian
government said.
