Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia discuss co-op prospects in agricultural field
Azerbaijani Agriculture Minister Ismet Abasov discussed prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia in the field of agriculture with the country's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Fahd bin Ali Al-Dosari, the Agriculture Ministry said, Trend news agency reported.
Abasov said that in order to strengthen the legal framework for cooperation of the two countries in the agricultural sector it is necessary to prepare draft agreements between the ministries of the two countries, including in the field of veterinary and phytosanitary.
Organic production, implementation of joint projects to build reserves, processing and storage of agricultural products, the organisation of trade missions, exhibitions, as well as establishing cooperation between agricultural research institutes were defined as promising areas of cooperation.
