Azerbaijani gymnast qualifies for Rio 2016

Azerbaijani gymnast Marina Durunda has joined the national
athletes who won a ticket to the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics.
The national gymnast took the sixth place at the Rhythmic
Gymnastics World Championships held in Stuttgart, Germany between
September 7 and 13, which allowed her to get a ticket to the
Olympics.
Three-time Azerbaijani national champion Marina is an Azerbaijani rhythmic gymnast of Ukrainian origin.
18-year old Durunda won one of the seven medals in the European Games that took place in Baku this summer. She took a silver medal in rhythmic gymnastics in ribbon exercises.
She competed at the 2014 Miss Valentine Cup and won the all-around gold medal in 2014. In 2015, Durunda competed at the 2015 Valentine Cup and won the silver medals in all-around, ribbon, hoop, placed 3rd in clubs.
