Azerbaijani chess player heads Fajr Open tournament
Azerbaijan`s chess player Misratdin Isgandarov has cemented his grip of the Group A together with Iran`s Masoud Mosadegpur at the 22nd Fajr International Chess Open Tournament in Mashhad, Iran, AzerTag state news agency reported.
Isgandarov shares the top two places in the Group with Mosadegpur as both players have five points after their sixth round encounter ended in a draw.
Another Azerbaijani player Vugar Rasulov ranks sixth.
The Swiss system tournament will feature nine rounds.
