Armenia to take BSEC chairmanship

Armenia will take the presidency of the Organization of Black Sea Economic Cooperation at the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the BSEC scheduled for June 21 in Odessa, Ukraine, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported, ARCA said.

The BSEC is an intergovernmental organization consisting of 12 states of the Black Sea Coast and the Balkans. BSEC was founded on May 1, 1999 on the basis of the Treaty on the Black Sea Economic Cooperation on June 25, 1992. The headquarters of the organization is located in Istanbul. Member countries are Albania, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Romania, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine.
