Iran warns of 'resolute' response to sanctions
Senior aide to the late Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and former First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber (pictured) declared on Monday that sanctions, war, and "plots" to dismember his country failed, warning Tehran's response will be "more resolute than ever before."
"This strategic failure is a definitive warning of the persistence of your misguided calculations," Mokhber wrote on X in an apparent message to the United States, noting Iran's enemies failed to achieve their goals and are now confronted with a more unified Iran.
Washington recently stepped up economic pressure on the Middle Eastern country as an alternative to pursuing additional military operations.
