"Star Wars" poster painting sold at auction

Created by artist and poster designer Tom Jung, the acrylic and airbrush painting first appeared in American newspapers on May 13, 1977, just under two weeks before the premiere of George Lucas's space epic. It was also featured on billboards, in magazine advertisements, and in theater programs, helping to shape the first public image of the beloved saga.
