SOCAR-Petrofac and BP-Azerbaijan have signed an agreement on international payroll and staff support services, including training, local media reported on July 17.
According to the statement, agreement for $100 million was signed for a five- year period, provides for international staff recruitment and support services, including training for BP- Azerbaijan employees in Azerbaijan and abroad.
Moreover, SOCAR’s Vice President of Human Resources, IT and Regime, Khalik Mammadov stated that joint venture established is a significant contribution to the service sector.
Demand for professional training services from leading oil and gas companies is growing nowadays, as training and professional development is one of the major challenges facing large companies in Industry 4.0.
Furthermore, Petrofac’s global training services manager Patty Eid noted their readiness to support the company in providing salary and human resources services, as well as training of employees in Azerbaijan and abroad.
“The Petrofac Training Business has provided training opportunities in Azerbaijan's oil, gas and petrochemical industry since 2004. This cooperation together with such an important partner as SOCAR provides the basis for our expansion in the region,” she said.
